Letting Go

This is probably the most valuable thing anyone can come to terms with. Such a simple thought letting go of all restraint and allowing yourself to be what it is. Nothing tying it down, no control, moving with the flow of the universe. So let’s explore the How of it, but first let us look at the images first in order to get an idea of what we are looking at. My husband described a memory of when he was young. He said these were the moments in his life that brought him the most peace.  He would go out in the horse pasture, loosen his reins on the horse and open up to the expanse of the prairie and just ride. I know of a chef who ran a four-star restaurant. He said when he was working that he was aware of everything around him. There were many chefs doing their jobs and he was aware of what each one of them was doing, while he was working he would hold this focus. This is what he enjoyed most about his job. For myself I would have to say for me were the moments of touchin...

Meditation

When seeking insight and happiness little do you know it is held within. Everything is held within.  No need to look outside yourself. So when I wish to see I turn and look within.  It all starts by finding your center. Your center is where everything within is quiet.  Not being pulled by the emotions this way or that. Like listening to beautiful music or focusing on a beautiful poem or simply watching children at play.  Everything is right in your universe, a feeling of rest and being at peace inside, all is quiet.  Here is where you will find your center.  It may appear as simple focus but in reality there is nothing simple about it in the sense that when something grabs all your attention whatever it may be, it holds all your attention.  Your focus at these times is when you are giving your all to it.  Discursive thoughts are quiet; you are focusing totally upon the object of your perception. Pure unadulterated focus resting quietly upon any p...

The State of Mind of Play

I have been convinced to write this through the encouragement of my niece Adrienne Dawn and my husband. Those who know me with the exception of a few know I do not share my personal experiences. I only do so now to make what I see accessible to as many people as possible. Also for my grandson Shane Jaynes who I took under my wing and showed him different states of mind at an early age so if he applied them, he could use those states to grow.   The main state of mind was what I called “Play” as a child. This state of mind is so subtle even though everyone experiences it, it is overlooked. I remember talking to my sister once over the phone.  I ask her how she was and she described her state of mind as a coffee buzz.  Seeing she was in a good state I asked her to describe this coffee buzz to me.  She said it was focused, full of energy, and yet again relaxed and fluid. I said you can move without effort.  She said yes it’s effortless.  So it’s a good sta...

About my teachers, my practice and early life

My first memory in life was when I was in a crib. I felt bewildered because I came from a place  where my mind was fluid, clear, pointed, being able to move from one thing to the next and grasping the whole to the innermost part of everything truly seeing into the moment. I felt as though someone had shoved me into this tiny body that I did not understand how to work. It was such a contrast to what I had previously known. I was in fact an infant trying to figure out how to use my body. I threw a temper tantrum at the end of the memory being frustrated by my circumstances.  My early years were guided and as I opened up, the spirits would guide me with simple gestures, images, words and visions. The most important thing of all they guided me through a state of mind I call play. Always accompanied by beauty, effortless thought, luminous light and clear sound. I was never frightened or felt uncomfortable; everything seemed effortless and natural. There was no fear. The spir...

Transformation of Soul (the original)

Transformation of Soul (the original) If you wish to see yourself in a different light, and want to change your way of looking at yourself, in relation to the universe. Then instead of looking outside, you turned and looked within. What can be seen there, and how would one come to see it, and if seen by what light? The what is the realm of mind, the how is by the mind's eye, and the light is that of the intellect. Am I going too fast?  Let's take a step back and review what I am saying. Would you not agree  when you open your eyes, and look toward what is exterior to you, you perceive the physical universe? Equally so, when you turn to that which is not exterior to you, and turn, see and look within, how does one come to see it? Just what is this universe within? You come to see the universe within by the mind's eye, and that in which it sees, is of mind. The mind's eye is not different from our physical eyes, in the sense that the eye within, functions in the same way ...
